Uncovering Happiness Meetup Groups
We are blessed to live in the most prosperous country in the world—with much to be grateful for. Yet clinical depression in the U.S. now affects over 16 million…and we are now “the most in-debt, obese, addicted and medicated” adults in our history.
So, how did we get here? Happiness research shows that what we think will make us happy—like making money and acquiring things—doesn’t provide the rewards we expect.
Perhaps what is missing is felt, compassionate contact with our deepest selves—as well as authentic connection with a community of others who support our values and dreams.
About the Meetup Groups
Announcing the first in a series of Meetup Groups—based on the book Uncovering Happiness, by psychologist Elisha Goldstein, Ph.D. Both the book and groups provide guidance in practices proven to increase well-being, social skills and life satisfaction—grounded in the solid science supporting mindfulness practices, play and Self-Compassion Therapy.
